Almost Left Behind

I have so many stories of my grandpa. He has truly had a very big impact on my life and everyone around me.

He taught me how to change my brake pads and rotors. He has also taught me many things about carpentry. He loved everything he did like no one I've ever met. He knew how to strike a conversation with a complete stranger and made them feel as though they had known him his whole life.

One of my favorite memories of my grandpa is probably when he was supposed to pick my brother and I up from the bus stop after school and he had picked us up in his pt cruiser that had the push button doors, well when my brother and I had gotten off the bus we had gone up to the car and my brother had managed to open the back door he'd gone to, while I was struggling to open my door Papa had put the car in reverse thinking I had made it in the car when my brother did, and started to pull off until my brother told him I hadn't opened my door yet. When papa put the car back in park my brother had opened my door and I had explained to papa I couldn't get my button push down enough to get the door open.
